Blue Whale Block Print

I decided to try to make a block to print on fabric.  It had been on my list of things to do for a long time...12 years actually.  That's how long I've had the block; it patiently waited until today.

I'm looking forward to making more blocks and prints, this was a lot of fun!

I also printed on some linen fabric- hummm....what to make from it?

The Clay Bird Takes Flight

The bird is packaged and ready to go.

Shh! My sister Nancy doesn't know about this surprise.

The packaging is made from an old J.Crew catalog, felt and paper scraps. Here is a close up of the bow. Very festive! Good stuff!

I learned that my daughter has a much nicer camera than I do - I used it to take these close ups.  Humm...time  for a new camera???

Clay Bird and Bottle Cap Pin

What is your secret?

Bottle caps, beads and a clay bird from Peru.  I've had the bird for about 20 years, it has been part of a number of beloved necklaces.  And now it flies again as part of this upcycled pin.  Love it!

It is hard to read from this picture, but on the back of one of the bottle caps is: What is your secret?

Puppet Man

Study for a puppet I made a lifetime ago for my sister.  I don't have a picture of the finished puppet, but I hope she will take one and send it along.
